Yelena and Viktor Vorobyev awarded the Grand Prix of the annual First April Competition in Bishkek
The annual First April Competition which took place at the Asanbay Centre in Bishkek this year, entitled Fathers and Sons / Fathers and Grandfathers included more than forty artists from Central Asia. Yelena and Viktor Vorobyev were awarded the Grand Prix for their installation Relatives, in which they manually retouched old and new photographs of their family members from the home archive to bring the old photographs taken with a film camera and the new digital images closer to each other, closing the time gap separating the generations.
