Born 1984 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He lives and works in Tashkent.
He worked with different techniques including sculpture and painting, but in 2004 he discovered photography, first as a reference material for his paintings, but photography quickly became the main technique of interest, a separate discipline and independent artistic language, that he explores to this day.
"I use this artistic language to represent the reality I experience, or you can say that I live it. The "quality "of the image, its texture and volume are very important for me, therefore as the “first step” in my works I allow myself only analog methods of photography, which I then digitize for more accurate processing and then again converting it into analog. Doing so, allows me to preserve the analog charisma of the frame and to keep high digital quality at the same time."
Yury Vedenin uses large format camera and works a lot with this technique, he experiments with various photographic materials, often shoots on old photographic paper. The artist also shoots in a traditional narrow format. This approach requires a lot of work and patience, so the artist can work on one series for years, painstakingly collecting material and at the same time tracking changes in what is happening.
